This article will show you how to use Hotspot Shield to watch Formula 1 live streaming from any place in the world.
Hotspot Shield enables you to unblock channels that are otherwise blocked due to geo-restrictions (The TV service provider will block you if you do not live in the same location where the content is being broadcasted).
Below is a list of all online broadcasters providing Formula 1 live streaming.
Note that most of these channels require a paid subscription to access their content. The only free service is BBC’s iPlayer online streaming service, which is available to only people living in the U.K. BBC iPlayer is expected to broadcast 50% of the races.
If you live outside of the UK, Hotspot Shield can enable you to look like you are in the UK so that you can watch BBC iPlayer.
Country | TV Channel |
United States | NBC Sports (web, iOS app, Android app) Note: This is a paid service. You must be current subscriber of a cable or satellite TV package. Username and password is required to access the content. |
United Kingdom | BBC Sport (Free service) |
Sky Sports F1 | |
Canada | RDS 2 (English) |
TSN 3 (French) | |
Australia | One |
Germany | RTL Television |
Sky Sport | |
Japan | Fuji TV Next |
By using Hotspot Shield, you can watch the live Formula 1 streaming on the channel of your choice (subscription to a cable service may be required in some cases) from any place in the world.
Due to copyright issues, some TV service providers may not allow you to access their content if they detect that the IP address of your computer or mobile device is from a different country.
Hotspot Shield enables you to overcome the geo-restrictions imposed by the TV service provider by giving you a virtual IP address that is from the same country where the TV service provider is located. Thus, the TV service provider will think that are you connecting locally from the same country and will give you full access to its content.
Added bonus: If you happen to be streaming the races on a public WiFi hotspot, Hotspot Shield will also protect and secure your device, preventing hackers from stealing any sensitive information you keep on your laptop or mobile device. Additionally, Hotspot Shield can also help you overcome geo-restrictions to access Netflix or BBC content if you are traveling outside of your country.
Hotspot Shield has support for multiple devices and platforms so you can unblock your favorite content on your Mac laptop, Windows PC, Android tablet, or iOS smartphone.
Follow the step-by-step procedure below to use Hotspot Shield to watch Formula One live streaming:
1. Click on the below button to download Hotspot Shield on your device. Once it’s installed and turned on, you may upgrade to Hotspot Shield Elite for faster speed, unrestricted and unlimited access to your favorite streaming content. With one Elite license you will get access to several virtual locations, and experience ads-free viewing. Additionally you will be able to protect up to 5 devices simultaneously (iOS, Android, Mac and/or Windows).
2. Select your virtual location inside the app from where you wish to access the content. Be sure to select the virtual location that is located in the same country that has the channel that you want to stream from. To get access to more virtual locations, you must get Hotspot Shield Elite service. The free, ads-supported service only allows you to connect to the U.S. virtual location.
Most of the services are probably paid services. The only channel that broadcast some of the races for free is the BBC iPlayer. To access BBC Iplayer’s streaming service, be sure to select the U.K. as your virtual location.
3. Connect to the streaming site, and enjoy watching the races!
