Top Websites to Access Free Ebooks and Audiobooks

I’ve always known that reading is one of the best ways to acquire knowledge. The good news for bookworms like me is that there are now lots of sites where you can access ebooks and audiobooks for free. Once downloaded, you can access the content anywhere you go on any of your device.

Here’s my top 10 list of sites for ebooks & audiobooks:

• Amazon.com – Amazon has a large collection of ebooks organized by categories that you can access for free. To access ebooks from Amazon, you can use their Kindle device or their free Kindle Reading app (if you do not own a Kindle device). In addition, If you are a Prime member, Amazon allows you to borrow books from the Kindle Owner’s Library for free.
• Google Play Free Books – Google Play has a free ebook section that offers a ton of free books from a variety of genres, including bestsellers, classics and more. You can even check out others’ ratings and reviews.
• Project Gutenberg – Project Gutenberg is a volunteer project dedicated to providing free ebooks online. It has a strong collection of more than 49,000 free e-books. No registration or fee is required.
• The Open Library – The Open Library has more than 1 million free e-books available. You can easily search by the title, author and subject on here.
• free-ebooks.net – Free-ebooks.net is a good source for all kinds of ebooks, from entertaining fiction/romance to drama to non-fiction business books.
• Ebooks directory – E-Books Directory has a growing list of freely downloadable ebooks, documents and lecture notes found all over the internet. The site also allows users to submit and promote their own ebooks, comment on posted books.
• ManyBooks.net – ManyBooks.net is another large free ebook site with more than 29,000 free e-books. You can browse by most popular titles, authors, genres, languages, and more.
• Open Culture – Open culture has lots of educational audiobooks that are made by other educational ventures.
• Lit2Go – Lit2Go provides a good collection of stories and poems.
